Assistant Professor in Economics of Transportation at Aalto University and Helsinki Graduate School of Economics.
Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), International Trade and Regional Economics program
I am an applied microeconomist with research interests in Urban, Transportation, and Development economics.
My research explores topics related to urban residential sorting, the cost of mobility within and between cities, and the relationship between the two. I frequently leverage publicly available non-traditional data sources (such as web-scraping of navigation apps and newly digitized historical maps) to generate novel first-order insights on important but data-sparse settings.
I completed my Ph.D. in Economics in 2021 at the University of Pittsburgh.
